Did you know that the common blue gum is Tasmania's floral emblem and has two different types of leaves?

In its juvenile form its leaves are light blue and broad. As it grows its leaves morph into the familiar olive green, thinner, curved blade shape.

This inspired a painting from which I have made some scarves.
